The Spanish Constitution. Section 51.2
- The public authorities shall promote the information and education of
consumers and users, they shall encourage their associations, and hear said
associations on questions that might affect said consumers and users under the
terms required by the
law.
Legislative Royal Decree 1/2007, passed in Spain on 16th November 2007,
approving the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers
and Users and other complementary laws. Section 8
- Fundamental rights of consumers and users are:(…) e) Prior consultation,
participation in the procedure of drafting general legal provisions that affect
them directly and the representation of their interests, through the legally
incorporated associations, groupings, federations or confederations of
consumers and users.
