Legislative Royal Decree 1/2007, passed in Spain on 16th November 2007,
approving the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers
and Users and other complementary laws. Section 68.1
- The right to abandon a contract is the right of consumers and users to
leave a subscribed contract without effect, while notifying same to the other
party to the contract within the timeframe specified for the exercise of this
right without being bound to justify their decision and without any penalty of
any kind.
Act 7/1996 governing the regulation of the retail trade, passed in Spain
on 15th January 1996. Section 10
- In the event of not having established a timeframe within which the
purchaser may abandon the contract, said timeframe shall be seven
days.
