Once again the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) publishes its Annual Report, as required under its own regulations and which each year serves to spur the agency on in its analysis and compilation work. The aim is to provide information on the number of activities to have taken place, through the dissemination and diffusion of this work, and for which we naturally rely on the invaluable collaboration of the Spanish Regional Governments for the provision of data.       

We have endeavoured to structure the report in a versatile way, so that it can be easily consulted. The contents page describes each of the Units’ activities, with the different chapters easily accessible via direct links to the page to be consulted.

One of AESAN’s guiding principles is informative transparency, and in this regard we have tried to include all of the data and actions implemented during the course of 2009.

We hope that this report reflects the institution’s enthusiasm for each and every one of the projects developed.
