Presentation of the Manual of physical activity, sport, exercise and health
in children and adolescents05/10/2010

Ana Troncoso, AESAN Executive Director, attended the presentation of this informative manual. She stated that the challenge that arises is the carrying out a range of strategies to act on economic, social, educational and cultural within a joint multisectoral plan to promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles that comprise an active lifestyle. As a consequence this would improve the health of the population by preventing risk factors and chronic diseases, in line with the NAOS Strategy.
The aim of the book is to encourage exercise during childhood in order to curb obesity and to ensure a proper development.
Also present were Professor Marcela González-Gross, co-editor of the book, Prof. Serafin Málaga, president of the Spanish Association of Pediatrics and Ms. Amparo Lobato, of Nutrition & Public Affairs Manager Iberia, Kellogg Spain.
