Last Tuesday, a conference was organized by the Association of Municipal Veterinarians and the College of Veterinarians of Vizcaya, titled: "Public Health: From Institutional Coordination to the effectiveness of services"

The celebration of the conference took place in the office of the department of health and consumption of the City of Bilbao, a former building of the bakery ‘Harino Panadera’, and nowadays the workplace of the department, where were brought together more than 80 professionals from more than twenty Spanish municipalities with municipal organizations of health and consumption, to discuss and analyze issues related to the coordination in the field of municipal public health and the effectiveness of the services.

Roberto Sabrido participated in this conference in a meeting entitled: "The local administration in the new draft legislation," moderated by Francisco Dehesa, chairman of the Association of Veterinarians of Vizcaya, who introduced the speaker by making a review of his profile and by highlighting the achievements in his professional career.

In his speech, the president of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition, explained the draft law on food safety and nutrition, as approved on September 3rd in the council of Ministers, and currently in term of amendments in Parliament, defining why such a law is required, analyzing its structure and highlighting the most important aspects of it.

After his speech, a seminar was organized, in which the president of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition, replied to the questions raised by the participants.
