II Food Safety and Nutrition Course. 12 to 16 July

For the second time, AESAN is running its Food Safety and Nutrition Course, which was so well received first time around. Indeed AESAN was congratulated by the University as the course was one of the most popular activities from the wide programme of summer courses offered in the incomparable surroundings of El Escorial.

This second edition is organised by the Ministry for the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), and will once again be sponsored by the Foro Interalimentario (Food Industry Forum).

The course offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary focus, with speakers from international institutions, from AESAN itself, from MARM, representatives from the Regional Governments, from Industry and Consumers’ Groups.

The subject matter for each of the days will be as follows:

Monday, 12 July

  • MOVING TOWARDS A NEW OFFICIAL CONTROL MODEL IN EUROPE

Tuesday, 13 July

  • SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION AND COOPERATION IN EVALUATING FOOD RISKS

Wednesday, 14 July

  • FOOD AND HEALTH: HOW FAR? FOR HOW LONG?

Thursday, 15 July

  • FOOD SAFETY IN THE PRIMARY SECTOR

Friday, 16 July

  • FOOD SAFETY IN COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL EXCHANGES
